Pain Management Associates (PMA) and its ancillary business units regret to inform you that they will be closing by August 30, 2019. Despite considerable efforts to continue its business operations, PMA will be shutting down its nine clinics in South Carolina and one in North Carolina due to mounting financial challenges.
Our focus on our 20,000+ patients has never wavered and our goal over the coming weeks is to transition all of you to a new provider as well as the safe transfer of all appropriate medical records. Your health records are confidential and will only be released to you or your new provider with your written permission.
With only a few weeks until our clinics are officially closed, PMA encourages you to choose another provider as soon as possible. It is imperative that you begin the process immediately in an effort to guarantee uninterrupted care. If you would like PMA’s assistance in finding a new provider, please contact your specific clinic office or Provider
As we move forward with the closure process, clinical needs will take priority. We will also be tapering business operations at our 10 clinics and reducing our workforce in phases.
This is a difficult time for everyone at PMA and we would like to thank all of our patients and staff that have supported us through the years. We genuinely appreciate you trusting PMA with your healthcare needs and it has been a pleasure to provide your care.
